Polyurethane resins offer outstanding properties for textile coatings.
Bayer offers waterborne polyurethane dispersions and high-solids products which are substantially solvent-free, one- and two-component polyurethanes. This product line, Impranil, Desmoderm and Impraperm, are the state of the art in polyurethane textile coating. Impraperm products in particular allow for the manufacture of coatings which are permeable to water vapor.
Polyurethane systems, even when applied in thin layers, provide resistance to abrasion, flexibility, tensile strength and tear propagation resistance.
These products are designed to be used in the transfer, direct, or coagulation processes
